The Sarasota Chorus of the Keys and One Voice at the 2010 Annual Show
|
We are directed by two of the
Barbershop Harmony Society's premier leaders: Don Clause and George Gipp.
Don has coached more International medal winning quartets than any other
coach in the Society. He has directed International medal winning choruses, and
is himself an International Quartet Medalist. George is an International Finals
Presentation Judge and an International Quartet Medalist. The Sarasota
Chorus of the Keys, our traditional chorus, presents an annual show each
spring as our primary fund raiser. Men who love the hobby but don't choose to be
competitive, are the core of this group. Our newest chorus, One Voice, is for
those men who seek more competition and more challenging music and
choreography. One Voice competes for District titles and International
qualifiers. Our goal is to bring an International medal to the Sunshine
District. Both groups are available for shows and presentations throughout the
local community and statewide.
As a 501.c.3 entity we provide scholarships to local High School
senior young men who have an interest in preserving music for
the future.
